Puerto de Mogán has been internationally recognized both by prestigious specialized publications (article "An extremely attractive Port" of the magazine Yatching World), and by different organizations. In fact, since 1988 and uninterruptedly, the Port has been awarded the Blue Flag of the European Community for the cleanliness of its waters and the beauty and conservation of its entire natural complex.

The port has 216 moorings, with lengths between 6 and 45 meters, in pontoons and docks. 180 berths on the jetty and 36 on the dock, with drinking water, electricity and TV, as well as Internet connection.

In October 1985 the Puerto de Mogán was inaugurated, which served as the basis for building the urban complex whose development was completed four years later. One of the most remarkable features of the Port is that it was built on land retried from the sea, which gives it a style similar to a small fishing village, which blends in and gives continuity to the already existing fishing district of Playa de Mogán. It is located in the municipality of Mogán, in the Southwest of Gran Canaria, 45 kilometers from the Airport, Latitude 27º49'N and Longitude 15º46'W. This area, protected by the trade winds, has around 340 days of sunshine a year, with an average temperature above 22 degrees, a light breeze and irregular and scarce rains. The Marina of Mogán, also known as La Pequeña Venecia, offers multiple nautical services, and is for Gran Canaria a door for the visit of nautical tourism, for professionals and amateurs, or related to the sea.
