Información adicional The companies SEPCAN / SAPCAN, are the fruit of the work of a Canarian family that has been linked to the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas since 1936. At that time Don José Socas Villalba (better known in the port as Robayna) was already working, who was the first mooring of the Port of Las Luz and Las Palmas, grandfather of Don Juan Socas Betancor. Years later, in 1986 a cooperative was created, called 'SOCIEDAD COOPERATIVA LIMITADA AMARRADORES DEL PUERTO DE LA LUZ Y DE LAS PALMAS, SOCIEDAD COOPERATIVA LIMITADA', constituted among others by Don Carmelo Socas Santana, and Don Juan Socas Betancor (son and grandson respectively of Don José Socas Robayna) being the latter majority shareholder and current manager of the SEPCAN/SAPCAN group. the companies are the result of an investment made with Canarian capital, improved over three generations. SEPCAN, was established in 1998 responding to the need to offer port users a comprehensive mooring service afloat and on land. The basic activity was progressively complemented by others, such as the service of unloading and transport of passenger luggage, crewing and boat service, prevention and fight against pollution by oil spillage into the sea and water supply service to ships. In the SEPCAN/SAPCAN group we know the importance of the quality of our services, so we want the satisfaction of our customers to be maximum. For years all our services have been ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, QUALICERT certifications. In the same way, we have implemented an integrated quality management system.
