The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Las Palmas has approved in its session today various files of Public Domain and Contracting of Works, Services and Supplies of special relevance for the ports of Las Palmas, Arinaga and Arrecife. The concessions of Grupajes del Mar, Frisu and Atlantic Bulk Terminal for general logistics, fishing logistics and non-food solid bulk stand out, as well as the contracting of various works at the Fishing Pier.

The president of the Port Authority of Las Palmas (APLP), Luis Ibarra, explains that “the Fishing Pier of the Port of Las Palmas is immersed in a process of reactivation and modernization that will return to the port and the residents of our city one of its traditional icons: the transfer of fresh fish ”.
“The Fishing Wharf resurfaces with Frisu’s ambitious project to capture the unloading of vessels with fresh, refrigerated and frozen fish, in addition to their equipment and assistance to their crews, and the award of the urbanization of the main road and the new Customs and Civil Guard building ”, he adds.
In turn, the Board of Directors has approved to grant the entity Grupajes del Mar SA the public concession to occupy an area of ​​public port domain of 11,242.87 square meters, destined for “Logistics development and offices”, in the Functional Area 6, in the service area of ​​the Port of Las Palmas. The planned investment exceeds 5.3 million euros.

It has also approved to grant to the entity Frigoríficos Hispano Suizos SA (Frisu) the public concession to occupy an area of ​​public port domain of 2,960 square meters, with facilities including 4,146.19 square meters built, and destined to “Cold store both of freezing as refrigeration of all kinds of food products and also baits for fishing, ice factory for the supply to fishing boats and rental of offices for companies that carry out port activities or complementary to these ”, in Functional Area 8, in the area service of the Port of Las Palmas. The planned investment exceeds 1.3 million euros.
