WindEurope Electric City 2021 is the world’s largest wind energy event of 2021. It took place from 23 to 25 November and was attended by Prince Frederick of Denmark at the opening ceremony. It is a fair that covers both onshore and offshore wind energy. This year he focused especially on how wind energy can help electrify heating systems, transport and industry.
Special relevance in the papers presented in this edition of Wind Europe has had the development that offshore wind is experiencing in recent years, a market niche in which the Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands is working intensively to turn the islands into a world reference with the implementation of important investments in several projects that are already underway. The delegation of the Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands in this international fair aimed to detect the new business opportunities for Canarian companies in the maritime and wind sector.

In addition, he held meetings with entities from all links in the supply chain of the offshore wind sector such as Ingeteam, Cluster Energía Vasco, Belgian Offshore Cluster, Puertos, Orsted, Green Eagle, SAIPEM, Nautilus, among others.
